कुमकुम भाग्य एपिसोड के शुरुआत में प्राची अपने ऑफिस जा रही होती है. उसी बीच एक लडकी उसकी गाड़ी से टकराकर गिर जाती है. प्राची तुरंत गाड़ी से बाहर निकलकर आती है और उसे उठती है. वह देखती है की यह तो पायल है जो उसे उस दिन मिली थी.

वह बहुत रोते रहती है. प्राची उससे माफ़ी मांगती है और कहती है की ड्राईवर ने उसे देखा नहीं था. जिसपर पायल कहती है की गलती उसकी है. उसे रोता देख प्राची उससे पूछती है की क्या हुआ? और वह बताती है की उसके बॉस ने उसे नौकरी से निकाल दिया. वह अकेली अपने परिवार को संभालती है अब क्या करेगी?

प्राची पूछती है की उसे नौकरी से निकालने का कारण क्या था? तब वह बताती है की उसका बॉस काफी समय से उसके करीब आना चाहता था. और कल उसने उसके साथ छेड़खानी करने की कोशिश की और मना करने पर उसे नौकरी से निकाल दिया.

जैसे ही पायल रिपोर्ट लिखवाने लगती है, प्राची फ़ोन पर बात करने बाहर चली जाती है और आने पर सब लोग उसके बॉस को गिरफ्तार करने के लिए जाने लगते हैं. जैसे ही पुलिस की गाड़ी कोहली मेंशन के सामने रूकती है, प्राची के होश उड़ जाते हैं.

पुलिस अन्दर जा कर दरवाजा खुलवाती है. रणबीर के दरवाजा खोलते ही पुलिस उसे बताती है की पायल नाम की लडकी का उसके खिलाफ छेड़खानी की शिकायत है. इसलिए वे लोग उसे अरेस्ट करने आये हैं. रणबीर कुछ समझ नहीं पाता है.

पुलिस कहती है की इस लड़की की मदद करने प्राची अरोड़ा भी आई थी. इतना सुनते ही रणबीर के कान खड़े हो जाते हैं. उसी बीच प्राची वहां आ जाती है जिसे देखकर रणबीर खुश हो जाता है की सच में वह जिन्दा है. और उससे बात करना चाहता है.

पर वह उससे कुछ भी बात करने से मना कर देती है. और पुलिस उसे हथकड़ी पहनाकर थाने ले जाती है. रणबीर पुलिस को बहुत समझाने की कोशिश करता है की उसने कुछ नहीं किया है. फिर भी उसे पुलिस ले जाती है.

पल्लवी और दादी जैसे ही बाहर से घर आते हैं, प्रिया उन्हें बताती है की रणबीर को पुलिस गिरफ्तार करके ले गई है. और सुनते ही वो वहां जाने लगते हैं. उधर रणबीर इंस्पेक्टर से एक कॉल करने की मांग करता है जिसपर इंस्पेक्टर थोड़ी देर रुकने की बात करता है.
